On Thursday, 14 November, Wapad met with one of the organisers of Open Air Farmer’s Market, Karabo from Raeetsa This Thing, who had a candid conversation with us, telling us what he likes about Open Air Farmer’s Market and what his expectations are for the event on Sunday, 17 November. This article will summarise what Open Air Farmer’s Market is and what people should expect on Sunday.

Open Air Farmer’s Market is a breath of fresh air from the cliché of events that we know. It combines day and night events into one main event; entertaining patrons, including families and young adults, from 10 AM until late. The event will happen at CSA Showgrounds. Karabo says that the inspiration for this event came from Vaal Farmer’s Market. “We wanted to do something new and fresh and move away from constantly organising night events,” Karabo said.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, 9 November. However, due to unforeseen weather, the event was pushed back to this coming Sunday. Karabo even mentioned that tickets are selling out fast, and that people should get their tickets as soon as possible if they don’t want to miss out on a good time. With headlines like Busiswa and Chicco, this event envisions a great time.
