The flames are high, the meat is sizzling, and the beats are dropping.  No South African can resist the smell of burning wood and sizzling meat on a warm, lazy afternoon. Why sit alone dreaming of a bite of steak when you and your neighbour can come together at the very first Six Gun Grill Veri-Fest, aka the ultimate braai!

Forget solo sizzling, bring your brother, cousin, neighbour, and the whole street to help break the unofficial braai record for the most students braaiing at once. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Veri-Fest isn’t just for braaiers, sizzling steaks, and lively entertainment, but for the whole family to enjoy. Veri-Fest is a playground of excitement for all ages. Bring the kids along for a day packed with thrills and giggles from high-flying Rockets and imaginative virtual reality (VR) Coasters, to hands-on Simulators and classic Jumping Castles. Whether you’re five or fifty, Veri-Fest has something for everyone! 

Thanks to Six Gun Grill and Charca, you only have to bring yourself, family, friends, your chosen weapon to braai with, and any side dishes and snacks needed. To boost the confidence of the braai-masters, live music is a must! What better featuring artists than Appel, Refentse, ONS, Wiesner and adding a local vibe with Kerkstraat and Veervol. With Hammie Wessels as MC there will never be a dull moment!

PLACE AND TIME

There is no better, bigger place for this ultimate braai than the NWU RAG farm. You, your family, and your car are all in one safe place.

General access: R100 FLASH SALE! Who doesn’t like a sale! This ticket includes access to stage shows, market stalls, and games – cheering the braai masters on, but not part of the braai.  

Braaier (R299): all festival access, as well as a communal braaier and a part of the record (wood and firelighters included).

Braai stand (R2500): 10x braai access tickets, a dedicated stand. Don’t forget your chairs and gazebo. Kick up your feet and relax.

Kids under 12: free entry!! With the same access as the adults but excluded from the braai record.

Six Gun Grill Veri-Fest is a movement to unite the community from students to families and neighbours. This is a chance for all student shapes and sizes whether it’s a first year ready to explore every event or a student that only knows the common grounds of campus to the student at heart to experience more than just the same-old-everyday life. This massive braai is especially helpful on the 24th of September to cater to every working individual to ensure they too can participate and be a part of the fun. Veri-Fest wants to include everyone; therefore, they plan to donate to a charitable organisation.
